UPDATE #7:  Please note your name on the list will be under the name of the Paypal or credit card account used to make payment.  Typically, this is your LEGAL name as shown on your driver's license.  If you have an "American" name and an "Asian" name, more times than not, it will be your "Asian" name...  so please use that name when checking in.  Sometimes, it may be under a company name if you set up your Paypal or credit card account that way.  Feel free to bring a printout of your ticket payment as a backup.  See you there!

UPDATE #6: A couple of notes about Ultrabar... many area DJs have mentioned to me that Ultrabar has THE best sound system in DC.  That means it WILL be loud. The best time to talk and meet people will be between 9 - 11pm when we have the place mostly to ourselves. After that, it's pretty much time to, yes, party! Also, keep in mind it is a club, so it WILL be crowded. And while we have our own line, with the large number of people coming out, logistically it may take 10 - 15 minutes for them to get us all in. So please have your ID out and ready. Come on out, and let's let loose with a night of dancing, music, drinks, and fun, while celebrating the year of the Rabbit!

UPDATE #5: Drink specials for our group include $3 Guiness (all night), $4 Dos Equis (all night), $6 "20s & 30s Asian Green Dragon" drinks (til midnight), $6 Smirnoff vodka drinks (til midnight), and $6 Kamikaze shots (all night). Dress code is in full effect! Suggested attire for men: button up collar shirt with slacks, hard-soled dress shoes. Suggested attire for women: classy and sexy.

UPDATE #4: We will have lion dancers performing outside as we enter the venue.  They will also join us inside the venue for a performance at 10pm!  Looking forward to seeing you there!

UPDATE #2: There are only 20 early bird spots left and the price will increase from $5 to $10 before Saturday, January 29th. To be fair to those who want to join in and are ready to make payment, I'll be removing those that haven't paid by Wednesday, January 26th. So make payment to *truly* lock in your spot. Also, the Fun Korean group will also be joining us! So spread the word, come on out, dance, drink and let's celebrate the Lunar New Year!

Ok, it's time to celebrate the year of the Rabbit!

I've rented out the entire VIP level (top 3rd floor called "Chroma") ALL NIGHT and the entire 2nd level (called "Bedroom") from 9 - 11pm (after that, the 2nd floor turns into the "Latin" room) at Ultrabar for our group only! Cover is normally $20, but that is INCLUDED in our ticket price (until 11:30pm)! Not only that:

• We get OPEN BAR from 9 - 10pm ("Chroma" VIP level and "Bedroom" 2nd level)
• We also get our own drink specials after open bar on our own floor ("Chroma" VIP level)
• We get our OWN line (ask for the Meetup line)
• We get our own meetup wristbands and glow bracelets, so we can easily identify each other!! =)

From 9 - 11pm, we'll mix and mingle together on the top VIP 3rd floor (Chroma) AND 2nd floor (Bedroom). After 11pm, the 2nd floor Bedroom will convert to the Latin room, but we'll keep it going all night with our own drinks specials (on the Chroma VIP 3rd floor only)! We may not all fit in Chroma after the Bedroom turns into the Latin floor, but rest assured, we are free to roam the *entire* club (4 levels, each with it's own DJ)! Groups that will be joining us:

Space is limited, so sign-up early! Last year, we sold out quick! We've got an early bird special for this event of $5, yup $5! Also please know that your RSVP is not guaranteed unless we receive payment. When you pay, your online receipt is confirmation that we have received your payment.

Metro

Chinatown / Gallery Place is the closest metro. I suggest metro / cabbing it if possible. I also recommend using wmata for travel planning. Don't forget to account for Metro and traffic delays.

Dress Code

Dress code includes no hats, no athletic gear, no baggy clothes, no t-shirts, no sneakers / tennis shoes, no flip / flops, no timberlands, no jeans. Suggested attire for men: button up collar shirt with slacks, hard-soled dress shoes. Suggested attire for women: classy and sexy.

Refund Policy

Since we've paid in advance for this event, and since there are limited seats, all sales are final. Hopefully you understand we can't have people canceling and requesting a refund, when that spot could have been filled by others. Similar to a concert ticket or a football game ticket, you are free to sell your ticket to someone else if you are unable to attend. Just work out payment between yourselves, and send us an email letting us know who will be taking your spot. Thanks for understanding. =)
