Charity Happy Hour at District!!

UPDATE #5: Drink specials are 4 Amstels, $5 "20s & 30s Asian Superstar", and $6 wine until 8pm!
UPDATE #4: Looks like this will be a good one! So spread the word, come on out, meet new people, and help support a good cause! And again, I encourage everyone to have a GOAL OF MEETING 3 NEW PEOPLE! Also, the Vietnamese Professionals will be joining us!
UPDATE #3: World Water Week is coming up so come out to support UNICEF's effort to bring sustainable water and sanitation solutions to countries that so desperately need them. Just $1 raised can provide a child with safe water for 40 days!
UPDATE #2: The Asia Society Young Professionals and the Fun Korean Culture & Language group will be joining us!

Okay, time to get together for our next happy hour!
Our happy hour will benefit UNICEF Tap Project... http://www.tapproject... ...UNICEF's (United Nations Children's Fund) effort to bring clean and accessible water to millions of children around the world. It is estimated there are 900 million people right now without access to clean water. Nearly TWO THIRDS live in Asia... suggested $5 or $10 donation. Please note 80% of donations go to UNICEF Tap Project and 20% of donations will go to the 20s & 30s Asian Going Out Group to cover Meetup fees and expenses. The following groups will be joining us:
OCA-NOVA (Organization for Chinese Americans - NOVA)
OCA-YP (Organization for Chinese Americans - Young Professionals)
Indians Socializing Over Sports and Drinks (ISODAS)
Asia Society Young Professionals
Fun Korean Culture & Language
Vietnamese Professionals
DJ Saam will be spinning loungy groovy beats for us. Our happy hours typically bring out 150 - 200 folks... and I wouldn't be surprised with a similar turnout this time around.
If you haven't been there before, District IS A BRAND NEW HOTSPOT that mixes horizontal wooden slats with soft lighting, exposed brick, and brightly lit translucent panels, including an elevated platform that houses the DJ booth!
To help continue the friendly tone of this group... I'd like to again encourage each person to have a GOAL OF MEETING 3 NEW PEOPLE at this event. Also, 20s & 30s Asian Rockstars, please help make all the newcomers feel welcome to our group!

Closest Metro is a 15 min walk from Woodley Park Zoo/Adams Morgan (Red Line), I suggest metro / cabbing it (esp. during rush hour). I also recommend using wmata for travel plans.
